Who should participate?  The course is designed for, but not limited to, the following personnel:  building owners, operators, architects, engineers, designers, abatement contractors, maintenance staff, trade workers (plumbers, HVAC, electrical), health and safety representatives, consultants, estimators and specification writers.

Course Outline: 

  • Personal Protection
    • Introduction, Training Programs, Safe Working Practices, Air Purifying Respirators, Air Line Respirators, Fit Testing, Respirator Programs
  • Lead Exposure – Introduction (Symptoms of lead poisoning)
  • Exposure Standard for Construction (Purpose, Methods of Exposure, Exposure Limits, Written Compliance Plan, Monitoring and Analysis, Employee Training, Safe Work Practices, Medical Surveillance)
  • Review and Conclusions

Upon completion of this course each attendee will receive a certificate of completion.
